What The Snow White Murder Case Is About
A beautiful woman who worked at a cosmetics company is found brutally killed. At the same time one of her colleagues, an unremarkable woman named Miki, has disappeared. Akaboshi, who works in television, decides to make a story of it: he talks to everyone who knew Miki, cuts what they say to shape, and puts it out on social media. Within days there is a settled conviction that Miki is the killer, arrived at by people who have looked at no evidence. Yoshihiro Nakamura adapted it from Kanae Minato's novel, replaying the same events through one witness after another. The subject is not the murder but how a person is convicted by a crowd.
