Fed up with her small home town, Cassie Barnes goes to New York to find work and takes a room with the wisecracking Dot. There she also finds her old friend Gladys, who is living in plenty on Park Avenue, though the man who gave her that life is married. While Cassie works as a model a similar offer comes her way, and the three women learn by three different routes what getting ahead in the city costs. William Beaudine’s sixty nine minute American film was adapted from Wilson Collison’s 1931 novel Blonde Baby, with dialogue written by Robert Riskin.
