Three Wise Men

Three middle aged men have been friends for many years. They meet in a karaoke bar that is normally closed. What they mean to do is drink and talk over how their lives failed to hold. As the night goes on secrets come out, some told and some worked out. One by one the three put their troubles into songs. The arrival of a woman on her own opens the last secret as well. The film takes place almost entirely in one room. The account proves nobody right; it leaves the men alone with what they have said. Kari Heiskanen, Pertti Sveholm and Irina Björklund appear in Mika Kaurismäki’s hundred and five minute Finnish film, completed in 2008.
