Woman in Witness Protection

Biwako is a middle aged actress. One day she witnesses a killing. While the investigation goes on she is put into witness protection. Two police officers are assigned to her and her life passes under their watch. But Biwako does not want to give up her work. She tries to carry her career, her public image and her private life at the same time. Alongside all that she is preparing to testify. The film tells it between comedy and thriller. The account also looks at the world of the yakuza. Masahiko Nishimura and Takehiro Murata are also in the cast. Nobuko Miyamoto takes the lead in Juzo Itami’s Japanese film of 1997.
