Words in Blue

Clara works in a bird shop. She is raising her daughter alone. The daughter’s name is Anna. Anna has never spoken a single word. Clara has her own trouble with words. She has always refused to learn to read and write. There is a reason for that. Her grandmother had a stroke while reading her a story. Since that day she has kept away from letters. Anna is placed in an institution. The man who runs it is Vincent. Vincent is afraid of growing up. He is not afraid to show affection to the two of them. The film is adapted from a novel. Sylvie Testud and Sergi López appear in the hundred and fourteen minute film, a French production Alain Corneau finished in 2005.
