What Your Fault Is About
Domingo González’s film goes back not to a publishing house but to Wattpad. Mercedes Ron began the first book, Culpa mía, there in 2015 and took the platform’s Wattys badge in 2016; Penguin Random House issued the trilogy through its Montena imprint only afterwards. The producer is Pokeepsie Films, set up by Álex de la Iglesia and Carolina Bang. This instalment and the third were shot together, the joint shoot wrapping in Madrid in February 2024; this one arrived that December, the closing film only in October 2025. The release was unusual too. It played to 4,000 fans at Madrid’s Palacio Vistalegre Arena on 18 December 2024 and reached Prime Video on 27 December. The first film had been Prime Video’s most popular film worldwide in 2023, and on Amazon figures given to Deadline this one went to number one on the service in more than 170 countries. Reviewers pulled the other way; Peter Bradshaw gave it 1 star out of 5 in The Guardian. A good fit if you are content to watch the pressure of Noah and Nick being stepsiblings, plus the distance made by college and an internship, return to the same argument repeatedly. Not for anyone starting the series here; the film opens with the couple already established and hands its resolution to the third film.
