Hello, Love, Again

Hello, Love, Again, directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana, is a Filipino romance starring Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards, about a couple who broke up five years earlier reuniting. The film is a sequel to 2019's Hello, Love, Goodbye, which had been the highest grossing Filipino film of all time upon release, a record later broken by Rewind. This sequel then broke the opening day box office record for a local film and became the first Filipino film to cross one billion pesos, surpassing Rewind to become the new highest grossing Filipino film of all time. The director changed her surname from Garcia-Molina to Garcia-Sampana after marrying in 2023, so the two films carry different director credits despite being the same person. Who it's for: anyone curious about the sequel to a record breaking Filipino romance that went on to break box office records of its own, directed by the same person under a different surname. Who it's not for: those wanting an entirely new story, since the film builds directly on a love left unresolved five years earlier.
