What Accused Is About
After a run of deaths at a hospital the nurse Lucia is accused, an ambitious assistant prosecutor takes the case, and Lucia is sentenced to life. But as the evidence is examined it emerges that the infants may have died of natural causes. The story is real: the Lucia de Berk case became one of the best known miscarriages of justice in the Netherlands, and once the probability calculation the conviction rested on was shown to be wrong, the nurse was fully cleared.
