What Ball Lightning Is About
The lawyer Radosta assembles a chain of twelve apartment swaps and quite rightly calls it Operation Ball Lightning. Moving twelve households on the same day is an organisational feat in itself, and Radosta solves every sudden difficulty on his feet. To make sure the day goes well he stages a small rehearsal, which turns up a run of minor problems: a wedding booked on the wrong date, participants losing their nerve. Then a night exercise announced by a drunk psychologist nearly wrecks the whole operation. A comedy that turns the Czechoslovak housing shortage into material.
