Bleach the Movie: Hell Verse

Ichigo's sister is abducted and the trail leads to Hell. A prisoner named Kokutō offers to guide him, saying he wants to save his own sister. As they move through the layers of Hell, the uncontrolled power inside Ichigo wakes again. The subject is not the rescue but the price of using that power. Ichigo's transformation was always drawn as a danger in the series; here the danger becomes the direct subject and the change reaches a point beyond control. The form is darker than the other films in the series. The design of Hell is built on chains, bone structures and a red sky, with the palette deliberately narrowed. It is the fourth Bleach feature. Tite Kubo, who writes the manga, took part in designing the new characters, and the Hell section uses an area the series left unopened for a long time. The narrative does not connect to the main story. Noriyuki Abe directs and Masakazu Morita voices Ichigo. Who it is for: viewers following the series who like combat-heavy chapters. Who it is not for: newcomers; the film introduces nobody and starts in the middle of the event.
