What Hunter x Hunter: The Last Mission Is About
While a tournament is being held at Heaven's Arena, a man out of Netero's past appears: Jed, a hunter using a dark nen technique banned years ago, wants revenge on the Hunter Association. Gon and his friends are trapped in the arena. Keiichiro Kawaguchi built it as a story independent of the series; the plot does not connect to the main narrative and has no equivalent in the manga. What is interesting in it are the scenes of Netero's youth and the first detailed treatment of the dark side of the nen system. The fight animation flows better than the television series. It moves fast and carries a heavy load of characters for anyone who does not know the show. Who it is for: viewers of Hunter x Hunter and fans of battle anime. Who it is not for: newcomers to the series.
