What One Piece Film: Strong World Is About
The pirate crew is scattered by a man who holds islands in the sky, and one of them is taken hostage. To regroup they first have to find each other. The film stands apart from the main story while knowing the character relationships well; the narrative shows how useless the crew becomes once it is split. The action is noticeably heavier than the television episodes. Munehisa Sakai directed. The series creator Eiichiro Oda wrote the story himself and was directly involved in the production. Before watching: the film does not introduce the characters to newcomers. It spoils nothing in the main story, and you need at least the first hundred episodes behind you.
