What Brigade Miscellaneous on Alert Is About
Mircea Drăgan's 1971 Romanian film follows the police unit chasing three hopeless petty criminals. Set in Bucharest in the seventies, it mixes comedy with the police picture: chases, disguises, misunderstandings piling into each other. The best-loved comic actors of the period are all here together, with Dem Rădulescu, Toma Caragiu, Puiu Călinescu and Sebastian Papaiani in the same cast. It is a popular entertainment made at the state studio in socialist Romania; it has no interest in criticising the system and wants only to make the audience laugh. One of the Brigada Diverse films featuring the same team.
