The documentary shows Bob Dylan’s tour of 1966. The tour was of the United Kingdom. The Hawks were with him on stage. D. A. Pennebaker shot the footage. He had filmed Dylan the year before. That film covered the 1965 tour. This one was commissioned for television. The programme was the ABC series Stage 66. The shooting was completed. The editing was held up. Dylan had a motorcycle accident in July 1966. When he was well enough he edited the film himself, and ABC then refused it as too hard for a general audience to follow. John Lennon and Robbie Robertson also appear in the fifty two minute film, an American production Bob Dylan finished in 1972.
