Enter the Fat Dragon

Ah Lung is a young man who raises pigs in the village and is a devotee of Bruce Lee; he has memorised his moves and imitates his voice. Nobody takes him seriously because he is fat. He is sent to work at his uncle's restaurant in the city. There is a gang trying to shake the place down, and Ah Lung finds his chance to prove himself. Then he learns the same gang has another plan. The whole idea of the film is this: Sammo Hung does Bruce Lee's moves exactly, but not in Lee's body. That is what builds the joke and what builds the respect; the man really is fast and technically flawless, and the audience sees it while laughing. Hung directed and starred and choreographed the fights himself. The title is an open nod to Enter the Dragon. It is one of the early films to show that in Hong Kong cinema parody and mastery can stand in the same place.
