What Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya: Vow in the Snow Is About
About the girl found in the ruins of a destroyed city, her adoptive father is clear: she is a weapon and nobody should see her as anything else. Shirou Emiya does not listen to that warning and treats Miyu as a younger sister. Miyu starts school and life goes back to normal. Then the Ainsworth family move in and take her, meaning to sacrifice her. Shin Oonuma directed the film, an instalment in the long-running Prisma Illya series and one of its darkest parts. The familiar magical-girl comedy is almost entirely dropped here; what takes its place is a responsibility a child cannot carry. The telling builds Miyu's power as both saving and destroying. It is not an entry point for a viewer who does not know the series.
