What Foolish Years Is About
Marija and Boba are two teenagers who fall in love. When Marija becomes pregnant, Boba’s friends set about finding a solution, and the way they go about it is where the comedy comes from. The film tells the lives of the young through their families, the pressure of the neighbourhood and the gossip, and shows how narrow the space is in which the two of them can make any decision of their own. The production turned out to be the first in a series of films that ran for years in Yugoslavia. Rialda Kadric and Vladimir Petrovic appear in Zoran Calic’s eighty three minute film, completed in 1977.
