What Holiday Camp Is About
The Huggett family go to a holiday camp. The camp is crowded and everyone there has troubles of their own. Before long the family are drawn into several separate matters. On one side are card players running a crooked game. On another a murderer is at large in the camp. There is also a pregnant young woman who has left home, and her boyfriend. All of it runs together inside the same camp. The film looks at daily life in Britain after the war. What ties the separate threads together is the camp itself. Flora Robson and Jack Warner appear in Ken Annakin’s British film of 1947, ninety seven minutes long.
