Balachandran keeps the books at a fertiliser shop. His life is a narrow one. For years he has lived in a run down lodge in Calicut. His room is full of books. Literature is his real interest. One day he begins to write. What he held back for years comes out on the page. A critic speaks warmly about his unfinished novel. Those words give Balachandran courage. He decides to finish the book. A publisher also wants to bring it out. But the writing jams. The sentences will not come. Balachandran struggles with the block. The film tells that block together with his solitude. Mammootty and Khushboo appear in the ninety five minute film, an Indian production Ranjith finished in 2007.
