What Kakkakuyil Is About
Sivaraman, who comes to Mumbai to sort out a visa, finds his friend Govindan Kutty in serious trouble and is pulled unwillingly into a bank robbery planned by Thomas and his men. When matters get worse the two need somewhere to hide and end up in the house of an elderly blind couple, who believe their grandson Kunjunni, who left home at seven many years before, has come back. Sivaraman speaks and Govindan Kutty is seen, and between them they become a single grandson; the bigger the lie grows, the bigger the comedy. In Priyadarshan’s hundred and sixty four minute Malayalam film Mohanlal and Mukesh appear, with Nedumudi Venu and Kaviyoor Ponnamma as the elderly couple. It was completed in 2001.
