What Keep 'Em Flying Is About
When a barnstorming stunt pilot decides to join the air corps, his two useless assistants go with him. Since the two are Abbott and Costello, what the air corps is in for is anybody's guess. Arthur Lubin directed, and it is one of the run of service comedies the pair made through the war years. There are songs in it, with Martha Raye and Carol Bruce in the cast. It was made just before the United States entered the war and had the plain function of making the military likeable. That is worth knowing while watching it, but Costello's scenes still work.
