Lawyer Man

The idealistic attorney Anton Adam makes his name by winning a case against a well known party boss in New York. That success draws the attention of Granville Bentley, a prominent lawyer, who asks Adam to join his firm as a partner. But the rise does not last. The corrupt Doctor Gresham and an actress set a trap for Adam with a trumped up breach of promise suit. After that case his career falls away quickly. The one thing that does not change in his life is the loyalty of his secretary Olga. The film is about a city where the law and politics run into each other. It carries the freedom of the years before the production code in American cinema of 1932. William Powell and Joan Blondell appear in William Dieterle’s sixty eight minute American film, completed in 1932.
