Megham

Colonel Ravivarma Thampuran visits the home village of Mani, who serves under him. There he meets a woman called Meenakshi. In time something forms between them. There is a distance between the colonel’s position and life in the village. The account gives that distance and the relationship together. The film runs drama, comedy and a romantic strand at once. Mani stays inside the account as well. It moves back and forth between army order and life in the country. The colonel’s visit is what sets everything else going. Nedumudi Venu and Sreenivasan are also in the cast. Mammootty and Dileep take the leads, with Priya Gill also appearing, in Priyadarshan’s Malayalam film of 1999.
