No Love for Johnnie

Johnnie Byrne is a member of the British Parliament. He is a man in his forties. He is not content with his life. He has not got where he wanted in politics. His private life is in disorder too. The trouble on both sides piles up. He wants to win the next election. His mind is elsewhere, though. He is constantly looking for closeness. He becomes attached to a young woman. People around him start to talk about the affair. His standing inside the party is shaken. In the end he has to make a choice. Either he gives up his career in politics or he gives up the woman. Peter Finch and Mary Peach appear in the hundred and ten minute film, a British production Ralph Thomas finished in 1961.
