A dinner party. The host Marie proposes a game: everyone puts their phone on the table, and every message, email and call that arrives is shared with the whole group. Once it starts there is no way to stop it. Fred Cavayé wrote and directed. The source is Paolo Genovese's 2016 Italian film Perfect Strangers. Bérénice Bejo plays Marie, Suzanne Clément plays Charlotte and Stéphane De Groodt plays Vincent. It opened on 17 October 2018 and runs 90 minutes. On an 8.8 million dollar budget it grossed 13.2 million. The Italian original started a remake series of its own, with versions made in Spain, South Korea, Mexico, Russia, Iceland and India. Who it is for: viewers who like single-location comedy drama built on dialogue. Who it is not for: anyone who saw the original. The French version repeats it almost exactly and the comparison is unavoidable.
