Jun Li's 2025 Hong Kong film follows a man who takes on the identities of the men he has slept with, arriving at each new meeting with the story of the last one. The film does not frame this as deceit. The narrative takes as its subject that being himself is only possible while acting as someone else; the episodes link together and who is who becomes unclear. It was shot in black and white with few locations. The cast come from different countries and the film moves between several languages. The sexuality is explicit. Who it's for: viewers of queer cinema and formal experiment about identity. Who it's not for: viewers uncomfortable with explicit sexual content; the film uses it directly.
