Sapta Sagaradaache Ello - Side A

2010. Manu works in a car park and Priya at a salon. Both are from middle class families and they are planning a life together. Money is needed. Manu has to clear his father's debt and has no time. An offer comes: he will take on a crime someone else committed and be paid for it. He is told the sentence will be short. Manu agrees. He goes to prison. Inside, the time stretches, and outside Priya waits. The waiting is not the same thing for the two of them. Hemanth M. Rao directs. Rakshit Shetty plays Manu and Rukmini Vasanth plays Priya. The language is Kannada and Rakshit Shetty produced it. The film opened on 1 September 2023. The story was split into two films; Side B came out on 17 November of the same year and moves to what follows Manu's release. The music is by Charan Raj; the cinematographer is Advaitha Gurumurthy. The matter it treats is waiting; the film does not use the prison as ground for action and the actual event happens outside. The narrative holds long on the romantic section and pays for that in the second half. Rukmini Vasanth became known in Kannada cinema through the part. The film does not end on its own; this is half a story and its close is in the second film. Its limit is completeness; the narrative is incomplete alone, the pace slow, and the ending suspended. Who it is for: viewers who like Kannada cinema and love drama that moves slowly. Who it is not for: it is half a film, long, and the ending does not close.
