Sarkar Raj

Anita Rajan is the chief executive of a company called Sheppard. She wants to build a power plant in rural Maharashtra and brings the proposal to the Nagre family. Shankar, the younger son, grasps it at once: the plant could bring work and electricity to the people there. His father Subhash Nagre is more careful. But as the project moves the villagers resist, the politicians involve themselves, and who stands to gain what behind it becomes unclear. The Nagres are pressed from outside and from within. Ram Gopal Varma directs; it continues Sarkar. Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai appear in it together. It runs two hours and is about how power passes from a father to a son.
