What School for Buglars Is About
To catch a wanted criminal, the police find a man who is his exact double and try to put him in the criminal's place. The double is an ordinary, honest butcher, and he lands abruptly in the middle of thieves, jewels and murder. Pedro Infante plays both parts himself, the butcher and the man he resembles. Rogelio A. González's comedy was Pedro Infante's last film. Infante died in a plane crash in Yucatán in April 1957, and the film only opened in May 1958, a year after his death. It was shot in colour and widescreen. This is how audiences saw the most loved star of Mexico's golden age for the last time.
