What Secret Wedding Is About

Fermin lived for years hidden in the subway. The dictatorship in the country has ended. Democracy has come in its place. Fermin steps out into the street again. The light outside blinds him. He does not know where he belongs. He is taken to a police station. There he cannot recall his own name. A past is cut for him out of the police files. Thirteen years of illegal political opposition are laid on him. If he stays silent about the crimes of the regime he goes free. If he speaks his situation changes. The woman he promised to marry does not recognise him. She believes he is dead. The film looks at the link between forgetting and keeping quiet. Floria Bloise and Mirta Busnelli appear in the ninety six minute film, a Dutch, Argentine and Canadian production Alejandro Agresti finished in 1989.
