Sixth Gear

Života is a car mechanic. His shop is small and the work never stops. He gets on very well with his customers. He listens to whoever comes in and does what he can. The shop has become a place people drop by. The story is made of the lives of those who come there. Some of them make you laugh. Some of them are sad. Some show the better side of people. Some show the opposite. In the end Života tangles up his own affairs. His rival across the road works by modern methods. Everything there is strictly business. For a while he tries to become like him. What his customers need, though, is him as he was. Zoran Radmilović and Mira Banjac appear in the hundred and four minute film, a Yugoslav production Zdravko Šotra finished in 1981.
