The Divided Heart

The account begins during the Second World War. A German woman named Inga goes missing. She is presumed dead. She leaves behind a son who is still an infant. The boy is placed in an orphanage. Years pass. A childless couple adopt him. The boy grows up with his new family. He takes them for his own parents. Then Inga reappears. The woman is alive. She wants her son back. The life the adoptive couple built is shaken. A court will decide between the two sides. Cornell Borchers and Yvonne Mitchell appear in the eighty nine minute film, a British production Charles Crichton finished in 1954.
