What The Glass Web Is About
The researcher and the writer of a television crime show are both involved with the same woman. She plays them both, and she is killed. There is a programme that dramatises the crime of the week, and the murder becomes material for it directly, while the researcher works to pin it on his colleague. Jack Arnold directed, and it was Universal's second 3-D picture of the period; he uses the depth not as a stunt but to make something of the crowded studio sets. Edward G. Robinson plays the researcher and John Forsythe the writer. Eighty one tightly cut minutes of noir.
