What The Hit Is About
A man called Jiš gets his first script accepted at Barrandov. The joy does not last long. He notices something during preparation. The filmmakers have set his intention aside completely. Jiš wanted a film about life in a village today. What they are preparing is a lavish musical show. They are convinced audiences will love it. The first shots tell him everything. An expert arrives in the village of Lipovec. The whole village greets him with singing and dancing. He has brought progressive methods to raise their yields. The shoot goes on in the same vein. The new screenwriter tries to work out what is happening. The film is making fun of film production itself. Hana Zagorová and Josef Abrhám appear in the ninety four minute film, a Czechoslovak production Zdeněk Podskalský finished in 1981.
