What The Olsen Gang Sees Red Is About
A broke baron hires Egon and the gang to stage the theft of his own antique Chinese vase. They are cheated, of course, which Egon takes personally, and the revenge plan involves swapping the vase for a cheap Hong Kong copy. The first attempt happens during the baron's hunting party and ends with Egon walled up in the catacombs. The second attempt is the sequence the series is remembered for: knocking through several walls inside the Royal Theatre in Copenhagen, timed exactly to the noise of the Elverhøj overture being played on stage. Erik Balling directs, and Ove Sprogøe is Egon again.
