What The Olsen Gang Goes to War Is About
A group of corrupt European Community ministers plan to turn the whole of Denmark into a holiday resort and amusement park. Documents about the scheme end up in Egon Olsen's hands, and they could make him rich and save the country's future at the same time. First, though, he has to talk Benny and Kjeld round again and lay the plan out for them minute by minute again. Erik Balling's 1978 entry in the series, with Ove Sprogøe as Egon. The Olsen Gang films never shied away from pulling Danish politics into the comedy, and here the argument about the European Community sits right in the middle of the story.
