The Stones and Brian Jones

The documentary is about Brian Jones. He was one of the founders of the Rolling Stones. In the early years he was the one shaping the music. He could play a great many instruments. The balance changed as the band went on. The songwriting passed to Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. Jones was pushed further and further to the edge. The film goes into that separation in detail. The account runs from the founding of the band to 1969. Jones died that year. Nick Broomfield talks to the people who were around him, family and former partners among them. Bill Wyman speaks in it too, and archive footage that had not been shown before is used. Nick Broomfield directed the ninety three minute documentary, a British production.
