The Universe of Keith Haring

Keith Haring was an artist from New York. His line is simple and recognised at once. He had an extraordinary gift. The documentary looks at his life and the world around him. New York in the seventies and eighties is the ground of the story. Art, music and nightlife were entangled in that period. Haring was in the middle of it. People from his circle speak in the film. The account does not only recall what he made, though. There is also the work he put into social causes. Teaching children was part of what he did. The film takes him as an example. Footage of Keith Haring and people from his circle appear in the ninety minute documentary, a French and Italian co-production Christina Clausen finished in 2008.
