What The Wise Guys Is About
Hector comes back to France from Canada to run a small sawmill he has inherited in the Vosges. The one problem is that he cannot find workers. His solution is to hire men just out of prison. So a crew forms up on the mountain, none of them trusting each other and none with anywhere else to go, against a bigger rival mill that wants them gone. Enrico puts Lino Ventura and Bourvil opposite each other, both at their best. The French title means the big mouths.
