What Up in the World Is About
Norman, a window cleaner, starts work at a manor house with hundreds of windows, a job that looks as though it will never end. When the young heir of the house talks him into slipping off to town, the two of them land in trouble. On the way back they run into men trying to abduct the boy; Norman fights them off alone, but the boy bangs his head and remembers none of it, and nobody believes the man’s account. Norman then has to work to get back both his job and his good name. Norman Wisdom appears in John Paddy Carstairs’s eighty seven minute British comedy; it was completed in 1956.
