White Snake: Afloat

Five hundred years have passed. Xiaobai, the white snake, has taken human form and found Xu Xian, who is the reincarnation of her old love Axuan. The two meet on the Broken Bridge. With her sister Xiaoqing, Xiaobai moves in among people and the four of them build a life with Xu Xian and his brother-in-law Li Gongfu. But there is a price if what the snake is comes out; the monk Fahai is after exactly that, and the border between the two worlds cracks somewhere. Chen Jianxi directs the Chinese animation; two hours and thirteen minutes. It is the last of a three-film series. The legend of the White Snake is a folk story told in China for centuries and has been made into opera, television and film many times over. This series rebuilds it in 3D animation for a present-day audience.
