What A Man on His Knees Is About
Nino is an ordinary working man who learns one day that a hitman has been hired to kill him. Looking into it, he finds that a wealthy woman has been kidnapped and that everyone involved in it is being killed off one by one. Nino had nothing at all to do with the kidnapping. He has to find out who sent the killers before it is too late. The film is about how far a criminal organisation in the south has got into everyday life, and it shows how an ordinary man finds himself in the middle of it. Giuliano Gemma and Michele Placido appear in Damiano Damiani’s hundred and six minute Italian film, completed in 1979.
