What How to Kill a Judge Is About
A film made by a director tells of a corrupt judge killed by the mafia, and it finds an audience. But the magistrate who orders the film seized is himself killed soon afterwards, and the event resembles the scene on the screen in a strange way. From then on the director goes after the matter to understand what his own fiction has touched; as the distance closes between what he told and what he meets, he too comes into danger. The film speaks from inside the political thriller that was widespread in Italy in the seventies and asks directly about the relation between the judiciary and organised crime. Franco Nero plays the lead in Damiano Damiani’s hundred and five minute Italian film, completed in 1975.
