A sequel to a French comedy. Greg and his friends once ran a company: they provided their clients with false alibis, staged scenes to make the lies convincing and acted the parts when necessary. They closed the business. Greg now lives a straight life and is about to marry Flo. The trouble is the families. Greg's father does not know what he used to do, and Flo's family take him for a serious businessman. A family dinner is arranged and the two sides come together. To hide his past Greg returns to his old method: he builds a false arrangement to keep the lie going and hires his friends again. From there the film is about the lies built on top of a lie; every solution brings a new problem and the wedding preparations proceed in the middle of it. The humour is broad and fast; the narrative is built scene by scene with a misunderstanding in each. Philippe Lacheau, Tarek Boudali, Élodie Fontan and Julien Arruti are in the cast; the team has worked together for years. Philippe Lacheau directed. The film did well at the French box office. An entertaining choice for anyone who likes French ensemble comedy and films built on misunderstanding. For a viewer expecting fine humour, this one makes its jokes directly and loudly.
