Gatta Kusthi 2

Chella Ayyavu's 2026 Tamil film continues from where the first left off. Veera and Keerthi are now parents; Keerthi wants to continue her wrestling career and Veera takes on most of the domestic work. The idea is a reversal of roles. In the first film the husband opposed his wife wrestling; here he supports it and pays for that among the people around him. The narrative makes that cost comic material. Vishnu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi lead. The wrestling sequences are larger in scale than in the first film. The narrative restates the social argument of the original and struggles to add anything new. Who it's for: those who saw the first film and like Tamil family comedy. Who it's not for: viewers unfamiliar with the series; the film passes over earlier events briefly.
