Angrezi Medium

Angrezi Medium was Irrfan Khan's final film, made while he was undergoing chemotherapy for cancer; he reportedly told the director, "I love my craft so much that it keeps me alive. We are going to do this, and we are going to walk this last bit of the journey." It opened on March 11, 2020, earning 4.03 crore rupees on day one despite the emerging pandemic, but was pulled from theaters within days as India's COVID lockdown began; Khan died the following month, in April 2020. Who it's for: anyone curious about Irrfan Khan's final, emotionally weighted work and a theatrical run that unfolded in the shadow of the pandemic. Who it's not for: anyone wanting to watch it as a light family comedy without knowing the real tragedy behind its production and release.
