What Gintama: The Final Chapter - Be Forever Yorozuya Is About
A feature from a long-running anime series, and it comes from the middle of it; this is not a starting point for anyone new to Gintama. Gintoki finds himself five years ahead, in a version of Edo that has collapsed: the shop shut, the crew scattered, everyone turned into somebody else. Looking for a way back, he learns how this world came about. The film keeps the series' usual register, absurd and tearful in the same minute. Without the characters' history the emotional half does nothing.
