What Loft Is About
Five married friends rent a loft together and share the key; the flat is for meetings their wives do not know about. When the body of a young woman none of them knows is found there one morning, one of the five key holders is a murderer. From there the film is less interested in solving the killing than in dissolving the friendship: everything each of them believed about the others turns out to be wrong. This is the Dutch remake of the 2008 Belgian film, made two years later next door. Its weakest point is that the dead woman is never a character.
