What Medicine Italian Style Is About
The young doctor Guido Tersilli built his career not by curing patients but by working the gaps in the system. Now he runs a luxury clinic and continues with exactly the same composure. The target is clear: a health insurance arrangement that paid doctors per patient turned the doctor into someone who accumulated patients rather than treated them. It follows an earlier film with Alberto Sordi in the same part. The Italian title is as long as a sentence, and that is part of the joke, mocking the pile of bureaucratic honorifics itself. One of Sordi's most merciless roles.
