O.S.S.

During the Second World War the American intelligence service sends a secret team into occupied France. The three people in it will work under false identities, obtain German plans and get them back to London. They come back from the edge of being caught and complete the task, but in the course of it they come upon information that could change the course of the war; carrying it back now matters more than their own lives. The film was made just after the war and speaks from a position that affirms the work of the service; its events are a composite drawn from real cases. Alan Ladd plays the lead in Irving Pichel’s hundred and seven minute American film, completed in 1946.
